Payment information is processed securely through third-party processors (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Stripe).

• Account information: Name, email address, profile details
• User-generated content: Chat messages, uploaded documents, voice recordings, transcripts, quizzes, flashcards, and notes
• Device information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and platform (iOS, Android, Web, Mac, Windows)
• Usage data: Feature usage patterns, session duration, interaction logs
• Payment information: Subscription status and purchase history (payment details are processed by Apple, Google, or Stripe and are not stored on our servers)

2. Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing

What data is sent: When you use AI-powered features, the content of your chat messages, uploaded documents, and any attached files are sent to third-party AI service providers to generate responses and insights.

Who we share data with: We use the following third-party AI providers to process your requests:

• OpenAI — GPT models for chat, analysis, and content generation
• Anthropic — Claude models for chat and analysis
• Google — Gemini models for chat and analysis
• xAI — Grok models for chat and analysis
• Perplexity — For AI-powered web search and research
• Deepgram — For voice transcription services
• VAPI — For AI phone call features
• Pinecone — For document search and retrieval (vector embeddings only, not raw content)

Data protection by third parties: All third-party AI providers listed above are contractually bound to protect your data and provide equivalent or greater data protection standards. Your data is transmitted securely via encrypted connections (TLS 1.2+).

Your data is NOT used for AI training: We do not permit third-party AI providers to use your data to train or improve their AI models. Your chat messages, recordings, transcripts, and personal information remain private.

Consent: By creating an account and using AI-powered features in FasterFlow, you consent to having your data processed by these third-party AI providers as described above. You can stop sharing data with AI services at any time by not using AI-powered features.

3. Acceptable Use & Anti-Cheating Policy

We are firmly against cheating of any kind. FasterFlow is designed as a study aid and productivity tool to help students learn, transcribe lectures, organize their work, and enhance their academic experience ethically. Using the app for cheating, plagiarism, academic dishonesty, or any unethical purpose is strictly prohibited.

Using FasterFlow for unethical purposes—including but not limited to cheating on exams, submitting AI-generated work as your own without disclosure, or violating your institution's academic integrity policies—will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the platform.

By downloading and using FasterFlow, you agree to use our service responsibly and in accordance with your school or institution's honor code and academic integrity policies.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process transactions and manage your subscription
• Generate transcriptions, AI chat responses, quizzes, and study materials
• Send important updates about the Service
• Comply with legal obligations
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including end-to-end encryption, secure cloud storage, regular security audits, and access controls. All data in transit is protected with TLS 1.2+ encryption. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Other Data Sharing

Beyond the third-party AI services described in Section 2, we do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only with:

• Infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting)
• Payment processors: Apple, Google, and Stripe for subscription billing
• Analytics: Aggregated, non-personal usage data to improve the Service
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or transfer your personal data. You can also opt-out of certain data processing activities or delete your account entirely through your account settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our Service. When you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

FasterFlow is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
